Terms & Conditions

Please read through these – they are not demanding but necessary to prevent any misunderstandings

OK I guess we need to have a few terms and conditions, if there is a problem with any of them talk us and we will try our best to sort it out.

1. You must bring a valid licence for the machine you want to ride. If it is a Photo ID licence we must see both parts and they need to match (sorry no licence, no course).

2. If you have an old style licence you must also have a valid passport. Please bring both along for us see. The DSA will not conduct a test without one and we cannot conduct a CBT.

3. You must be able to read a number plate from at least 20.5 metres away. If you need glasses or contact lens to read the number plate, you will need to wear them whilst riding – don’t ask !

4. You are very welcome to use your own bike but you will need to be responsible for legally getting it to and from our training site. It must be road worthy and taxed, have left and right mirrors, working indicators, full size L plates front and back, and we will also need to see valid insurance and MOT (where appropriate). You are expected to provide your own jacket, helmet etc. if you are using your own bike.

5. Come sensibly dressed! I know it’s obvious, but every now and then someone turns up in shorts and flip flops. Please wear a minimum of jeans and sturdy foot wear.

6. We reserve the right to stop tuition if, in our opinion, you are not in a fit state to ride a motorcycle. It is also your responsibility to let us know if you feel unsafe to continue for any reason.

7. We will do our best to enable you to complete the CBT on the day, but sometimes it will take longer and we will need to charge if you need additional training.

8. We will advise you to the best of our ability about the length/type of course needed. Please accept that this is a guide only. If in any doubt take a longer course, you will have a much better chance of passing your test first time.

9. We reserve the right to amend/sell any training sessions or tests that have not been paid for and/or secured with a deposit.

10. We reserve the right to take the full payment for a course cancelled with less than 4 working days notice.

11. You can book a Module 2 test to follow a Module 1 test at your own risk. The DSA will not allow you to take the Module 2 test without passing the Module 1 test – you will lose the Module 2 test fee and training fees in this situation.

12. We cannot be held responsible for the cancellation of tests by the DSA. The DSA will cover out of pocket expenses in some circumstances and you will need to claim directly from the DSA.

13. The test fees do not include motorcycle hire and/or tuition these will be charged for.

14. We train all year round. In the unlikely event of a course being cancelled due to bad weather we will contact you as soon as possible. Otherwise please assume training will continue.

15. Steve and his staff endeavour to treat our clients honestly at all times – if things go wrong we will try to put the matter right as fairly as possible.
